Meet Ben Timmons
30+ Years of IT Experience
Ben brings over 30 years of IT experience to his consulting work.
He started working in IT at two Ivy League universities in Boston spearheading personal computer support at the first school, and helping to replace a Help Desk with distributed IT support at the second institution. He also worked for a legal software firm which was part of WordPerfect Corp.
Ben then moved to UC Davis in California where he provided key-level IT support for Level 4 research labs, Hospital Critical Care areas and for a major defense laboratory for 16 years.
For the last 13 years, he’s worked in Connecticut, first as IT Director for a cosmetic and pharmaceutical firm, and for the last 10 years for IT Managed Service Providers where he provided remote and on-site support for small and medium businesses throughout New England.
For consulting, Ben has assisted clients in various technology projects, computer and network management, social media consulting, and data management.. Document and manuscript repair and recovery for several published authors.
Other projects include medical/professional office startup, talent acquisition, corporate outplacement chaplaincy and dispute resolution.
Special interest in adaptive technology for disabled individuals.
